Sheila Lane
(Obedience & Agility)
Sheila is one of the original members from when the club started in 1972. Her first dog was Tufty a Border Collie cross. Tufty was the first of many rescue dogs ranging from German Shepards to her current Lhasa Apso. Sheila initially trained her dogs in obedience with Jean Everest, entering Beginners Exemption Obedience shows. The club then started training Agility with Robert Andrews (see above) and Cliff Evans. Sheila soon got the bug for Agility and started to compete. Sheila is now concentrating more on agility than obedience, and has reached Grade 3. Sheila enjoys passing on her experience and knowledge in both obedience and agility.

Marie-Louise Parker
(Agility)
Soon to be submitted

Jackie Partridge
(Puppy Obedience)
Jackie has for the past year been training the Good Citizen Puppy Foundation Course. The emphasis of the course is socialisation for the puppies, bringing in good manners and basic obedience, so that owners go away from the course with the basics they need to carry on working to produce happy well balanced dogs. Jackie feels strongly that the puppy course sets the basic ground rules to enable dogs to go on and either become well adjusted pets or to start to train in other disciplines whether it be obedience, agility or flyball.
Jackie has four dogs of her own, two of which are rescues. The knowledge she has gained has been through the training she's received during the last four years at Golden Valley Dog Training Club. Three of her own dogs now regularly compete at agility and she hopes that her new puppy will also compete in agility.

Angela Shears
(Obedience & Agility)
Dog training started for Angela with a naughty dog called Jodie over 30 years ago at Hereford All Breeds. That's where Angela started helping at classes and went on to take classes. In about 1984 she joined Golden Valley Dog Traing Club doing the obedience training, having to have a tea break when her daughter, Tammy, needed a feed. Angela competed in obedience for a lot of years, then working trails and agility. When she started agility shows had one ring for jumping one for agility, and they all sat around the ring cheering on club mates. Angela's dog started competing in agility at about 8yrs and retired at 14yrs. Angela has been on courses for obedience and gained Grade 1 and 2 at the British Institute of Professional Dog Training Instructors. Angela has mostly worked with, and owned rescue dogs that have come with much baggage.

Pam Wooden
(Flyball)
Pam has owned dogs since 1971. Her first 2 were rescue crosses, she and her husband, Kim, then went on to have 8 Golden Retrievers and 2 Border Collies. Their Goldens were trained with Cranbourne Obedience Club in Warfield for approximately 5 years. They then started their our own agility club – Cranbourne Agility Club, Kim is still Honorary President. Pam also started a flyball club in Slough , called The Barkshire Bandits, who are considered to be one of the top flyball clubs. Pam currently shows and trains her Goldens for gundog work, to enable her to obtain their Show Gundog Working Certificate. Pam also occasionally breeds Goldens. Pam started training the Golden Valley Eagles Flyball Team in 2005 and the team is now competing. The team has achieved much including winning all 5 races at Portway in April 2008.
We need some new dogs, so that our 2nd team – Golden Valley Falcons can also compete.
